HOW TO: Xbones to Fatboy Rear Fender Swap

Unplugging stock turn signal plugs.
Great thread skeez, modders will know that you will need a a good quality T45 torx bit to loosen / remove the bolts on the side of the fender. It also helps to have a decent length wrench to crack the sealant on the bolts as these can be quite tight.
Also do you have any tips on unplugging the indicator wires from the tail light, I couldn't work it out when I did my indicator relocation and ended up snipping them?

The indicator plugs have a tab on top that locks them into the circuit board. You unlock them by pushing these tabs down through a hole in the top of the circuit board with a small crewdriver or electrical pick. Since the light on the Crossbones is upside down, so is the cuircuit board which means that these tabs and the holes through which you depress them face downward. The trick is to look for the holes from underneath and press the tabs UP with the small flat head screwdriver while pulling on the plug. I've added a photo below that shows where the holes are through which you depress the locking tabs on the turn signal plugs. In the photo, I deliberately inserted my small blade screwdriver far enough to illustrate what you should be looking for. Gently push the tip of your screwdriver into this opening while pulling on the plug to remove it.
I guess it wasn't the worst thing that you had to snip them since you should have had to extend the wires a bit for the relocation kit install?
Cheers!

Hey OC! I don't know how many times I have said to myself "If I only knew that back when..."! Honestly though, I couldn't have done this without folks like you offering inspiration as well as info with your mods! So THANKS to you!
Thanks for the props everyone. Just trying to give a little back. As I stated in the opening of this thread, I joined the Forums to get myself some schooling from riders who are out there doing their thing to their scoots and working things out. I was a total newb when I bought my Bones two years ago and I still feel totally green so in my effort to share info I am hoping to learn even more from the feedback that I may get while sharing my experience with others.

You are very correct on the T45 and proper driver.
