Entered to win a '91 Heritage
So I just entered a raffle to win a '91 Heritage Softail. Thing's decked out. What kinda things should I watch out for on a Softail of that era?

First, watch out very carefully for someone else winning it.

Yes, watch out for worrying about a bike that you don't own yet.

Wow they are raffling off an old decrepit hog. $1 for the raffle ticket or $25 outright if you mean this is an Ebay auction.

$5 per ticket. For a local Kiwanis club. Someone donated the bike in order to raise money for charity. Only 1500 tickets, so I figured why not.

They tend to burn gas and the tires will wear out.

So, if I said that I was considering buying a '91 Heritage would I still get all this crap? I just wanted to know if it would be worthwhile to hang onto the sucker if I get it, or just try to sell. With only 1500 tickets, the chances are a whole lot better then the lottry.

Seeping base gaskets are the first thing that comes to mind.
