Hey ! I have read page after page of these threads and was all pumped about goin from MT to Ct until I contacted Tires By Web linc posted in here and the guy acted like I was a nut and told me that the 175/75-16 was discontinued. Can some one tell me where to find the Vredestein Comtrac 175/75-16 because I know this is the tire I need because I own a 06 Heritage Softail like Quadancer's '05

You're S.O.L. on the Vredesteins. My next tire will be the Austone Taxi tire. Several guys are testing them and the Coker.

Or if you're a Dunflop addict:

And here's our last choice, also being tested:

A good first report on this one, albeit pricey.

I have a 2011 Road king and the tire size is 180/65/16 Any help? I am having no luck,I believe the Manufacture chooses sizes that are odd ball to keep people off the ct.
But thats just me

Heck, without measuring the bike I can safely say you can run a 185/75/16. Or if you're a bar hopper, shorten the aspect ratio to a 60 - lots of those out there I saw.

According to the tire calculate A 195/60-16 is the identical same size of a 180x65/16. I run some scenarios after I posted above and came up with 195x60x-16 in a Bridgestone turranza EL 400-2 from tire rack.$121.00 ea. plus shipping.
Guess I hollard before I was hurt.

Thanks for your post I shall check it out.

Be sure they're talking about SECTION WIDTH and not TREAD WIDTH, which is usually smaller. Section is the fat part of the sidewalls. That is what has to fit the bike, the tread won't matter.
I'm on the fence myself with the 185's - they won't fit with a 5" car rim, but possibly could with my 3" rim, reducing the section, as it did on the 175.

Crap, I can't find the thread right now, but one guy was considering getting the Austones shipped from the UK, but there was a 50 tire minimum. Still, I think he'd make out on it as more of us are using it as the Vredestein replacement, or plan to.
He also mentioned a chinese comany that would make tires to your specs; again, a minimum order. I'd like to see a 190/80/16 with a symmetrical rain tread!

Guess I'll try for the Austone Taxi tire in that same size on my Springer, unless there's any new sources for the Vredestein... Definitely worth a try, so the money I save can be spent on whitewalls for the wife's Deluxe!
