Default Fork Oil

For those with stock forks/springs what weight fork oil you using? An 04 manual I have says to replace with Type E oil, 5w? Thinking about mixing 5w and 10w = 7.5w or just replacing with 10w. Would like to lesson the front dive a little when braking for corners and coming to a full stop. Dont want to increase the damping so much that I feel the pebbles on the road.

I used the Screaming eagle mid grade. Not heavy, but the next one down. I can't remember what the weight was.

Drag Specialties 20 weight. Got rid of the horrendous front brake dip without being harsh.

That thread is more like a novel. lol SE 15w is popular with the baggers. Dont know what their stock weight fork oil is. Some one mentioned 10w in a post. Going from 10w to 15w is not a large increase in weight. Maybe doubling to 10w is good nough.

Good to know that 20w gets rid of brake dip. Riding 2up that brake dip gets old!

So... 10w, 15w or 20w. Take the average = 15w??? lol

Do you guys mean the 15w or 20w? Our stock Type E oil is 10w. Then their is a SE Performance 15w and a SE Racing 20w that is not recommended for street use.
