There are several options that have been done since 2008....that plastic has been disliked since that bike was born. I was inspired by whiteguy. there are a few others. I made this from tooling leather. It wasnt hard. Just time consuming. You can dye it any color and add lace and ornamentation to suit. Check out your local Tandy Leather store. There are some professional leather workers who can do this too. I had more pics but they were lost when my pc died.

i know , it's a deluxe not a crossbones , but how different can it be ?
As a crossbones owner who is looking into covering his frame cover in leather as well, I must say that the Deluxe owner what he has done to cover his battery looks so good very neat and tidy flows great with the bike

I think the plastic cover under the seat looks cr*p too.. trouble with the leather covering on the baseplate makes it sort of look like a double decker seat to me..the base plate should be metal like part of the frame..so gloss black imo would look best... oops! I'm looking at X Bones threads again
