nice work , it's an interesting solution to that cheesy plastic cover

i have to say though , with apologies to Blue Cross Bones , this is the best solution i've seen

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softa...my-deluxe.html

i know , it's a deluxe not a crossbones , but how different can it be ?

Nice job! I did something similar with imitation suede. It is thin enough to form fit with spray adhesive. $5 bought enough to do it twice, so when it fades I'll re-do.

Took the whole seat off and put on a Brawler seat, works great for taller riders.

I like it...I will have to look into something similar. I like the idea...though, I would likely go the route of brown leather.

Still, other mods take priority in my life...but, that's another one to add to the "wishlist"/backburner.

Not a bad idea. Personally, I wouldn't go that route though. I actually kinda like the one with the bandanna (Cheesecake?). Been considering it myself. Did you use something like 3M spray trim adhesive??

What irks me the most though, is that the POS plastic seat pan actually made it past the final design team at the Motor Company. But then, someone there probably thought "well, why don't we make it in plastic so we can charge $150 later for a metal one??" in which the rest of the team replied "Brilliant!"

Nope I just placed the bandanna on it.... cut a few holes for the posts and then tied it under the cover....
I ran it that way for he few K and then I had it covered in brown leather to match the seat.... I need to find my camera and post a few new pictures of her... she continues to evolve...

Pics please! I'm thinking of painting too. Possibly some pinstriping also.
