Angry HELP...... fuel dumping out of tank??????

I walk out to my bike today to take her out, 2010 FLSTSB w/ 1600 miles.

Turn the ignition on and fuel starts pouring out of tank fill...
I have a Harley Fuel cap installed.

then I see fuel pouring out of the vent line from under the bike....

Bike has been sitting outside all day 15+ hrs and is covered but temps are 90+
have lost already a gallon of fuel and of course fuel expands in the heat.

anyone have a clue??? Harley service shops are closed here in Utah on Mondays.....

thanks

I have had gas coming from tank as you described only once...I simply started the bike, ran it for about 45 seconds and it stopped. I think the expansion is the problem, too much fuel in tank....This is my experience, just trying to help

It's expansion. With that heat and too much gas in the tank; it's got to go some place.

When my bike is hot (out in the desert in summer) and I fill it full a little gas always comes out of the overflow.

ya Im thinking it was fuel expansion, I moved the bike and put her in some shade let her cool down no problems and took her for a ride no problems.....

Im still gonna have her looked at and have my steering head bearings adjusted, its under warranty so I might as well I figures.

thanks guys
