last decision is black or chrome. about to order 16" wild 1's 1-1/4 for my 03 heritage (black/silver color combo).

leaning towards black as of right now.

if i go with black will most likely paint the fork tin black also. slider cover are up in the air. leaving forks as is. grips will probably either be white or red.

would love to see any pics of your black aped softail (chrome aped softails are fine too) and hear your thoughts on how you like the black bars.

 

I have the opposite problem. lol I wish i got black instead of chrome. Planning on painting gloss black my headight, lower fork sliders, sissy bar and black heat wrap on the upper heatsheild of my pipes. Then some nice gloss black 18"s at 1 1/4" thick. Should change things up abit on my ride.

 

I bought the bars chrome and had them PC'ed Gloss Blackbefore installing them. I know I made the right choice and have never had any second thoughts about it. I say go for it you will like them black.

 

I bought my bars off ebay for $25.00 and then had them powdercoated gloss black. My only regret is that after the fact, I wish I would of gone with flat black.

 

I like the black, I want to add them to my Rocker.

 

I am waiting for this next winter to two tone my tins and powder coat my highway bars. Mine kind of look odd right now. But with the white and black two tone paint should make it pop.

 

I just did mine a month ago. Was gonna go chrome all the way til the last second then changed my mind to black. So glad I did!

I went with the 12.5 Wild1's cause my hands would fall asleep any higher for me. Waiting on my buddy to swap out his black levers so I can take his. Next week or two I'm powder coating the lower forks black and doing the wheels (until I can afford RCs). I ditched the Kuryakyn Isos in this photo and went with HD Black Diamond Grips

Next come pipes and new bags.
