I think the screw threads are actually a sleeve; and it is held in with a cir-clip. If you remove the cir-clip and the threaded sleeve, you could pop in one of the flush mount plastic plugs that are available in the Home Depot/Orchard Supply/Lowes/etc nuts and bolts department. Hey! I should put this in for a Cheap Mod?

I think you're right on the back seat mount. But the Deluxe's have two more threaded holes for the rack. With my Buttcrack, I actually had five holes exposed (that sentence sounds nasty). Two for the front seat, two for the rack and one for the pillion. The bib covers them all.

If no bib, there's an assortment of studded objects available on Ebay, generally used for license plate fasteners; dice, skulls, spikes, jeweled dots, etc. I used mini pistons to match the Carlini risers to fill the three holes where the license plate bracket was mounted on rear fender, however, had to JB Weld nuts inside the fender.

Duh. That's what I should have done. Instead, drove about 4 times farther and paid $6.95 at the stealer for my plastic (chrome) plug.
