I'm curious too. I was thinking you wouldn't be able to fill it as high and more would be left when you "ran dry".

I raised mine 2 inches, not 3, but the low fuel light comes on earlier, around 120 miles, but I know I have gas obviously. I have gone 4.2 gallons so far, haven't had it any lower cause running out isn't funny, but it appears to be fine. As far as highway feels etc, no difference that I noticed.

Have you had any weirdness with it? Does the bike get "floaty" on the interstate or does the extra airflow under there not do anything?

Is the total tank mileage off much? i.e.-due to the angle, will it still suck most of the fuel out or does a bunch get trapped in the back?

Much interested. Sorry for all the questions! Thanks!
I did a 2" tank lift last year.......I think it get more air flow over the motor but no issues on handling (the frame front end block) My fuel guage hits empty at @ 1/2 tank so I use the tripometer (@200 miles)to know when I am empty.

How would you rate that mod in looks vs hassle... it is my opinion that the looks don´t change that much, I hope is not too much of a headache to install the lifts. How much did you liftted yours?

Mimo.

Biggest thing I noticed was the noise. The top end noise is a lot louder now.
