about 3/4".
I can only grab a little corner of the brake pedal with my toe.
Not very good if i gotta really lay into the rear brake.
someone told me not to get the ez brake pedal because they tend to flex
when braking. is that true?

Find a bigger brake pedal pad. I just got some Joker machine pegs that I am going to mount on the brake. It is about twice the length of the stock brake pedal pad. I'll report back once I actually get it mounted. It's gonna take some fab work. I am sure someone makes a wider pad. Lemme look around. Or you could just redrill and move your current one out if you have a bolt on instead of the stock rubber.

I put an EZ brake on my bike in early May.
It works great, although you do need to get used to the new pedal position. For the first week or two it felt like my rear brakes were mushy because the pedal is moved both forward and down. You will not be used to pushing your pedal down so far to stop.
I like the extra space and I think the new location is more natural (at least once you get used to it).
I have not noticed any issues due to flimsy construction.
There is however a trick to removing the pin from your brake link when you go to install it. No matter what make extended brake you buy be sure to search the installation threads. Best 15 minutes I ever spent. (Ok, maybe not the very "best"). Otherwise you may end up beating your head against the wall...

Yes, if you are like me, the air cleaner cover keeps you from getting your whole foot on the brake pedal since you have bend your leg outwards.

i was looking for a slimmer aircleaner cover , but havent been able to find one yet.
i was going to install a SE Heavy Breather AC but dealer told me it will still interfere with my leg.
