Default Crossbones licence bracket removal help

I bought an axel mount for my licence plate and I was looking to see if anyone had any tips on how to go about removing the stock licence plate bracket. Thanks

It's plastic and part of the rear light assembly. You can just cut it off and then smoothen with some sandpaper. Will probably be easier if you remove it from the bike. Is 4 bolts on the inside of the fender, 2 on each side.

+1, this is what I did for mine, then just hit the cut area with some flat black paint and it is completely unnoticable

I removed the whole tail light assembly and trimmed off the tag bracket with a dremel tool. I used the bit shown to rough cut then the sanding drum to get the final shape. I still wasn't happy with the stock look so I fabbed my own.
