Default Front Spoiler Kit - Anyone painted one?

I have one on my Night Train and I want to lose some more chrome. Anyone have any pointers to painting one?

Default crossbones with spoiler

I haven't done it yet, but I'm going to the dealer this weekend to talk about putting one on my crossbones. Will update.

Cgauss you currently have a chrome spoiler on your ride and your askin bout painting it black?? If that's the case I'd take it off and have someone Powder Coat it gloss black to match your frame!! That would be SweeT!

scuff it up real well with a scotch brite pad or fine sandpaper, then prime it, if needed sand and prime again, then atleast 2-3 light coats color of choice, when fully dried wetsand it smooth, then 2-3 coats of clear, when dry lightly wetsand with really fine wet-sandpaper and buff well. take your time, especially with drying times, time can make or break a paint job

Same here, primed not chromed. Although the primer is/seems part of the plastic moulding...
