Default Air ride switch relocation...thinking about the best spot to move them

I am ready to relocate the switches for my air ride. I have them mounted on a bracket on the left side of the bike by the front of the seat right by the frame. I am thinking about relocating them to my dash somewhere. I know people have put them on the left side of the dash. I was thinking of putting them on top of the dash. What do you think? The coil cover does not work for me and I don't have a cowbell horn with my tank shifter. Will the wiring get crushed where it runs under the dash above the tank panel or will the rubber gasket around the dash keep that from happening.

I am thinking this one through before I do it. Any and all input welcome.

Run the wires under the tank and come in from the front with the stock wiring loom and there shouldn't be any crush worries.

Thanks. Now all I need is a sharp drill bit. Time to see what I can find.
