Default installing new levers

im installing new levers on my deuce, anything i need to know? i do know about the cardboard thing, but not sure were to put the cardboard. any pictures or further tips would help out alot!! thanks

Follow the instructions as per Harley service Manual for your specific model and follow the step by step instructions that came with the levers.

If need pics then cross reference with the HD website, usually the levers on there website shows an installation guide.

Oh ya and take your time, be patient and don't forget the cardboard piece.

Shim the front brake lever with cardboard in between the lever and the brake light switch or the switch will break when you take the switch housings apart. Mine has been broken for years now. LOL. I have opted to leave it as it is.

The cardboard shim is important. V-Twin is on the money. If you don't shim the lever, the switch will break and your brake light will stay on.

mission complete!! thanks for the tips everyone! i didnt even have to use the cardboard the brake lever slipped right out and the new one went right in!

i replaced the shim with teflon
