I'm on my third replacement 200mm rear on my '06 Softail. Most I've gotten from my D407 Dunlop is 7k and change. To those who chime in about their narrower tire milage, it's irevelent, tires 180 and larger DO NOT GET the same mialge as narrower tires because they are softer compund for handling, wider patch tires need softer rubber for handling. There;s the odd claim of over 10k on 200mm or largr tires but I scratch my head on those, you either ride like an old lady or maybe your talking kilometers...

I've got 8k on my rear and it still has a long way to go.

Wife's dyna has 3k on the rear it and it looks absolutely brand new.

So weird the wide varied mileage of the tires.

I have an 07 Heritage and got almost 11,000 miles on my rear tire before replacing. Just me and I do not ride hard. Always keep the tire pressure right.

He was speaking English. Get your hearing aid fixed man.

Btw; this is an International forum. Most members are American or Canadian though.

Some killer ideas and bikes coming from Europe and down under (AU, NZ).

Interesting thread. I never knew you could use a car tire on a bike.

1st tire Dunflop rear 8k

2nd tire Dunflop rear 5k

3rd tire Metzler currently 3k on it

How does a lot of rear braking affect tire wear? I rear brake probably 75-25 to the front.
