Iron Butt Tomorrow

I've never ridden 1,000 miles in a day, but I ride straight through from the DC area to Florida (900 miles) a couple of times a year. My advice is to get off the bikes for at least five minutes every hour. It will add an hour to your trip, but it can be the difference between a pleasant ride and the ride from hell. Once your *** starts hurting, the only cure is a night off the bike. If anything is making you uncomfortable, fix it immediately, there are very few things that fix themselves.
Good Luck!

2. Get a good nights sleep.
3. Truckstops have restrooms and tend to be "biker friendly". National landmarks (i.e., National Corvette Museum, et al) are not as "biker friendly" but have very clean restrooms.
4. Pictures, Pictures, Pictures (the more the better)
5. Save your receipts and try to use only one credit card/debit card per person.
6. Make sure all receipts has the stores' name, address, and telephone number on it.
7. DRINK WATER!
Have a safe trip. Remeber it's about fun, not setting a land speed record.
