Thundermax V.S. Fuelpak
#11
As others have said if it is just A/C and pipes the Fuel Pak will work but it is very limited and really is just a "fueler" similar to the DFO but you have no way to know what the settings are effecting. For almost the same amount of money (new v new) you can get a PC from Fuel Moto and have their lifetime MAP Support as well as the ability to tune it yourself or any good dyno guy can build you a map. The PC can adjust fuel and timing as well as each cylinder and will grow with you if later you want to add BB or Cams ect

thank you for all your replies. i rode my buddies night train yesterday...his setup is S/E intake, martin bros shockwaves with the HD race tuner. that bike had some power to it, alot more than my stock rocker. it was like night and day...and i found out riding his NT that I LOVE DRAG BARS as well.
the reason im swaying more towards the T-Max is from what i understand its "always" tuning, and this to me is a good thing as i ride differenly each and every time im out. some days i ride with folks that like to haul a$$ and other days i ride just to ride and enjoy the scenery. altho his setup is nice i have to agree with those of you that say you never just settle with the 1st pipes you get or the 1st ecu unit you get...im always lookin to upgrade and eventually (wife has not been notified of this yet) BUT i will be purchasing the HD big bore kit.
so yea im thinkin i might just as well go with the T-max to save me in the long run

If you are NOT going to ever do any motor work...big bore, cams... the Fuelpak is a easy and inexpensive, compared to the cost of the T-max, way to adjust the bike for pipes and a/c. I'm running Fuelpak on my 08 NT for 3 yrs now and I've changed exhaust 3 times, just go to the Fuelpakfi.com website and put in the info about your bike and the setup you are running and it will give you the settings you will need. Good luck

So your saying the Fuel Pack is a one time setup and can't be changed if you change your bike? Odd then that most people seem to like them better than the Thundermax. Well other than the retailer that makes more money on the Thundermax. Also from what I've read the Thundermax is a lot more problematic!
