Default Mustang seat question

Does anyone have the Mustang Super Touring one piece seat (model # 76404) installed on a 2007-2010 Fatboy? I am thinking about getting this seat but I am concerned that it will be too wide for my 09 Fatboy (200 mm rear tire). The seat dimensions are 17.5 inches for the front seat and 14 inches for the rear seat. I am assuming this is the width of the seat. 14 inches on the rear seems pretty wide, which I would think would not look right or cause issues with using a back rest. Anyone using this seat on a Fatboy? What are your thoughts? Any pics? Thanks.

My thought are that if you are getting a seat for comfort, don't worry about how it looks. Comfort and aesthetics with seats are two completely different thing. the front seat will be about like a stock fatboy seat. If you are that concerned about the rear portion, order the two piece version so you can take the passenger pillion off when you are riding alone. Let me know if you need discounted pricing on seats, I can hook you up.

I have the two piece version & the pillion comes off quick & easy. I'd totally recommend it to anyone, if your looking for comfort. It doesn't look too bad either...not the greatest, but definitely worth the compromise.

I have the one piece on my Softail Custom. As the Doctor said, don't worry about looks when comfort is the key. Personally, I don't like mine. It pushes me to far forward and kills my tailbone on long rides. The stock pillow seat is more comfy for me. But then, I bought the seat for my wife since she has back problems and can't ride on a narrow seat.

I have the same exact seats (2 piece so I can go solo) and they are incredible. Wife said it was night and day difference and as far as my seat, I cannot say enough. My rear tire is only 150 and I think it looks just fine. Many have this exact seat and you wont hear a complaint!

i also have the 2 piece and the pinion has only been used one for a person and twice as a place for luggage on a trip. i love the wide seat and went thru 3 seats before getting this one.

I have that version for an older Sloptail. It's comfortable, especially for the passenger, but it is one big ugly *****! I only use it when THE MAMA wants a perch. It moves me too far forward and makes operating the suicide and jockey difficult. To that end I removed all the front seat padding and replaced it with a thin sheet of camping pad.

Did I say that it makes a bike look like a hermaphrodited Harley-GW?
