i agree dude i just installed it for time being im think laid back probably aluminium powder coated black so it dont stick out so much

Could you please give me a break down of the colors and definitions of the wires going to the tail light? I am attaching a side mount license plate mount and don't know which are the running vs tail light, and the diagram is hard to find for some reason. Thanks.

sure but
what year is your bike ?
assuming its a newer bike here they are
if you unplug your rear taillight harness from taillight it will have 6 wires

be=blue running light
r/y=red/yellow brake light
bk=black ground
v=violet left turn signal
o/w=orange/white accessory hot <optional for rear fender light> depending on model it may not be there
bn=brown right turn signal

Great job Colonel, definitely the best looking Crossbones I have seen so far. Really like the old school emblems and the lines of that new rear fender.
