Default 180 HP Night Train ?!?

Now that I have your attention, I need your guys help to settle the score for me. I ride a sportster, and as a result don't know too much about the softails. Anyway, was out at a bar this weekend and started talking bikes. This dude said that his NT made 180 HP, and my initial reaction was BS. It was a killer bike, no doubt, but is 180 even possible. The bike was heavily modded, so I bet it was on the north side of 100 HP, but 180?

What do you all think?

Well if you take out the engine and put a hayabusa engine on it you might get 180 HP.

All joking aside, with some extremely heavy modification and running on alcohol it might be possible, but that's a TON of power out of that engine...

An R&R 155" reportedly has 180 or more Horsepower.

I believe Patrick Racing can build one that big too...It might be an EVO only build.

But both engines are north of $12K.

So I call BS..

He said it was a 147ci, but I don't remember the make. As I said there were some pretty heavy mods, and the words "I blow past busas on my rear wheel" tipped me off the the BS factor. It WAS naturally aspirated BTW.

I guess some people want it all in one bike. If I wanted to go that fast I would rather get a busa for a second bike before dropping that kind of loot into my motor. Thanks guys. I guess it IS possible as long as you have about 20K laying around.

Now did he have a belt drive rear or a chain? A belt can't live with that much HP if he beats on it. That would tell you if it's BS
