The other topic got me thinking who has filled a completly empty tank and how much did it take. Cause looking at my reciepts it seems I've never put in much over 4 Gal think it was 4.074 to be exact. Have noticed many times my right tank has little if any fuel in it . So could there still be a Gal in the left tank.

 

5 gallons for that.

 

I've put 4.82 in mine...pretty close to emptiness...too close.

 

Pulled up to the pumps with a buddy last week and he put 5.18 gals. in his 06 Fatboy....think he was pushing the fumes a little far myself......lol

 

Yea, a friend of mine did that once too. 5.1 gals. I'd say he was running on fumes or the pump was a little off. All the specs I've seen are 5.0 for the Heritage.

 

I put an average of about 4.7 gal in my '09 Heritage. My display usually says about 15-20 miles left in reserve when I fuel...

 

4.9 once on a ride to Yosemite. Was looking for a station for about 20 miles on hiway 99. Fuel light was on, gauge was on the e and my brain was yelling at me for not paying closer attention to my gauge.

 

You never know if the gauage is reading right or if the light is right either. Use the trip od. It is a 5 gal. tank.

 

The most I have ever put in my tank is 4.97 gallons. The last 20-30 miles I was sweating bullets hoping I would make it to the next gas station.

 

Didn't hit the reserve and put 4.8 in on my '05 - I thot the reserve was supposed to be more than that. .2 gals wouldn't take me very far.
