If I ran a 2-up seat all the time, I'd be all over this!! The woman campaigning for the title of O.L. would love it!! For those occasions I run a 2-up seat, the seat base is padded with a very soft cloth to protect the paint. So when I run my solo seat, the fender still looks perfect.

Is there a pad of some sort, or any paint protection on the steel bracket? I love the clean design of your back rest, but would have to go with a side plate design IF the paint on my fender will be damaged.

Please advise.

Yes LooseMoose, there is a rubber mat that goes between the bracket and the fender to protect the paint. There are some good images on the website of the installation.
