Default Bike back fires, then stops running at stop sign

I have an 07 softail Deluxe, this has happened twice now, I'll be driving along, bike running
great then it will back fire once or twice, but keep running, but when I start coming up to a stop sign and pull the clutch in the bike will die, no power, lights etc.
I'll turn the the switch off and the kill swith, turn them all back on and the bike will start right up and run great for the longest time.
I thought the first time when it happened it could of been some dirt in the fuel cleaned
that all up but problem still happens.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
thanks

Check the battery connections and the ground lead from the battery to ground at the frame.

Check the ecm connections under the seat.

Check the ignition switch for loose or bad connection.

Had that happen to me. It was the ignition switch on the dash. I dissassembled it and cleaned all the contact points and assembled everything with dioelectric grease. It was all blue and fuzzy. Must have been ridden to much in the rain. Hope that helps.

Your bike doesn't like stop signs. Avoid them.
