That is pretty cool. I used some double sided tape and attached a garage door key fob inside the headlight frame. When I want to open the garage, I just turn the bars and reach behind the gap there to hit the button. A little trickier, but it works well.
I just found this thread, so sorry about the late post. Just wanted to say thanks to all the guys that posted pics and what-not. Will be doing this as soon as i get back.
FYI...... My system workes great not attached to the bike. The signal is killed by the dash panel....... Next time the dash is off I'll be relocating the setup........
I said it before and will say it again, it never ceases to amaze me what Harleys guys can think of and mod out once they put their minds to it! I HATE fumbling for my dang opener while trying to one hand it into the driveway so it opens and I don't have to stop and fiddle around. My question is if you use that button for the opener does it then affect the intended use of re-zeroing your milage and stuff like that? Maybe I am just not getting a clear picture in my mind of what to do, whats left of my mind that is! It sure looks cool though, I would love to rig one out on my bike too!!!
