I installed the switch using the instructions from this post almost a year ago and it still works perfectly today. I haven't had to change the battery. I have ridden in the rain and washed my bike with a hose numerous times without issue.

Where in dallas are you, I am in the Lewisville area. Need to hook up with you to do this to my bike. I have a small key fob size remote I use and it may be easy to get in there.

Just outside of Dallas in Rockwall area actually. This is a real easy mod to do and well worth it.
One day I was throwing away some warranty parts at an auto dealership. Found a sunvisor that was warrantied for a vanity bulb and ripped out the Homelink. Had no idea why I might need one, but I pulled it out today and am gonna figure out a sexy way to make it a part of my bike. I'll be able to control up to 3 garage doors for free. Cross your fingers for me. I hope I helped someone with an idea. Maybe a junkyard? Maybe you or a friend work at a dealership?
