Default Freeing Up My FLSTCI

Hello everyone and be patient with my first post. I am new to the site and have found lots of great information. I have an '03 FLSTI that is running stock. I would like to add some slip ons (V&H Straight Shot), better breathing air cleaner (suggestions welcome!) and re-map the EFI. I don't have tons of $ for the upgrade. I'm fine with doing the slip ons and air cleaner myself, but am not sure about the EFI. The dealer is pushing me toward the race tuner which is $460 alone plus the labor. Can't I get performance and sound boost by just having them remap the EFI without going the race tuner route, or would that be a mistake? If I need to wait until I have more funds then I'll wait. Thanks for your input!

I would go with a PCIII(power comander) air and exhaust...........

Dont care what anyone says but a good Dyno tune after everything is on is a BIG Plus...

+1 to this.

but yes you are right a simple download would do it as well. though I think that runs somewhere around 120 plus labor and is general map. A dyno tune will get the best setup for your bike. There is quite a diff cause each bike is different.

I went with the Slip ons and air cleaner change. Did the remap worked good not great. More power right off. Then went with Big city thunder baffles in my slip on they fit right in. Still runs great but does pop back while slowing down. Doesn't bother me but I ride in a group lots and some folks are real jumpy.

So may need to go to something like the Power commander. Found one but can't remember who or where that would come ready for my Bike as I have it set up to include the Baffels.
