Alright guys, i read 3 thousand different ways to keep your apes from slipping and found one better. Called Skid Guard Safety Tape from Lowes. Its the same stuff you put down on concrete steps that give them the rough texture so you dont slip. The back has adhesive on it so it sticks to the bars and the part that makes contact with the risers is like coarse grit sandpaper. Just did this to my Crossbones with 16" Nash Gimps and torqued them down to 15lbs and i cant get them to budge at all. Try it out, $4 for a roll of this stuff...
I have done something similar and it worked well for me I take a piece of sandpaper and fold it rough side out on both sides and stick between the bars and risers. in all the times Ive used it it has never failed me

I just tried this the other day.... I already noticed how much better they are...
Something new for me to try. And, we have a roll of that stuff laying around my building somewhere. The funny thing is the way I have them now they have not slipped in ages. Drew
they werent bad if i cranked them down but after i stripped the riser i decided i had to do something different. Seems to take up just enough space to keep them snug and give them a little texture too

Helicoil the riser too. It does a lot for how tight you can crank the bolts down.
