Don't know about performance but I do know they're F'N LOUD. My buddy has them and I make him ride on the right side of me on long trips.

I was thinkin the lack of back pressure would mess with that. So guess I'll leave'm in there Pi$$ on that.

That's putting it mildly, the're almost obnoxiously loud for the rider let alone the poor SOB behind or beside you.
Leave the baffles in, the performance is better and strange as it may seem.
The bike actually sounds nicer, especially when you happen to stop at a light and a police car pulls up next to you.

Scheer...I ran mine w/ torque cones and cut the baffles in half. It was just about right. No low end loss and pretty friggin loud.

Torque cones, or some are called Power cones, only cost about $25. I had them in my Samson Rip Saws, before I switched exhaust to a Fat Cat. The bike ran great with the Rip Saws and power cones, but the Rip Saws were the first generation and were dedicated drag pipes. They didn't come with baffles. The OD of the pipes were smaller then the Big radius 2 by 2 so you didn't lose as much back pressure.
The only reason I switched to the Fat Cat was that the Rip Saws were extremely loud and after 2 -1/2 years I couldn't take it any longer.
