Default New exhaust ques. slip ons?

I have an 07 night train, and I'm really excited to upgrade the pipes. My old bike (custom) had Cobra's and I loved the sound and volume. Apparently, the 07's are different and not a lot of options. My dealer mentioned the Rush Slip Ons -- anyone had any experience w/them -- I checked the forum and found some info, but really want to know if they: sound good, are loud, and/or would I be better off waiting until someone comes out w/a full system for the 07's? I like the look of shorter pipes, so I was a little reluctant about slip ons, but w/no experience w/them I thought someone could provide some advice.

thanks
rob

I put a set of the Rush slip-ons on my '06 Deluxe. Had H-D slip-ons installed on bike when new, didn't like the sound even after dealer punched out center tab. I really like the sound with the Rush slip-ons. The dealer parts guy had a set on his Deluxe so I got to listen to them before buying. I bought them with 2" baffles. They are straight through so they are plenty loud enough I think. I may be imagining things, but I think my bike runs smoother with the Rush slip-ons. Also, they are a little longer than H-D slip-ons, but are not so big in diameter, so they don't look bad. I was almost ready to spend $1000.00 on pipes, but only spent $270.00 instead. Hope this helps you. Ride safe. Jr.

I got the rush slip ons just yesterday, so far i really like them. talk to ya up through the gears, and a nice deep rumble at cruising speed. I got the slash downs on a 07 heritage and have the 2.00 baffles.

Hope this helps ya.
