Question V&H True Duals on Deluxe

Just wanted to know what your experience is concerning a possible heat problem on the left side, as the pipe seems to be real close to the leg (especially for such a short-legged "girl" like me). I think they look good and as I want to add some roomy bags, duals seem to be the only option. I´m just afraid of almost burning my leg all the time. Lots of replies are welcome!

No worries, got a little warm here and there but no burning of the thigh issues. See my album for pics with tru duals and my iron bags...great combo IMHO.

When yous top put your right foot down and keep your left on the floorboard. You'll be fine. I ran true duals for 3 years and never noticed an issue from the left pipe. Granted I am not extremely short, but I don't foresee an issue.

Well I'm tall and have only been riding with the true duals for 6 months but I haven't burned anything on the left yet. I really like the extra space on the right to clean the tires and wheels on that side too.

It's not that bad. Just be aware that it is there and you'll be just fine.

If you are quick enough it wont hurt. I have now single wall duals and they get really hot. As long you wear a long pants you will be fine. But i would advice you to buy dual wall pipes. My dad has Samsons and they are ok.

No issue really. Well if you touch them they are hot but that is true for any pipes. But there is no adverse "heat" effect from true duals.

Okay, this coming from a short, 5'1 girl who has V & H true duals on her bike...THEY ARE HOT AS HELL!!! I have to be careful every minute not to burn my left, inner thigh. I have done everything from stage 1, synthetic oil and screaming eagle tuner. Still hot as hell! Next bike will have long shots on one side....

My bike is 2" lowered with a low profile seat and my girl leg still presses against it. I will tell you this if you are going with duals go with SAMSON! They wrap tighter on the left side better, fishtail tip looks better and they sound better! i think the Samson will give you about an inch more room from your leg.

This is coming from a guy with V&H.
