OK guys...it's been a while. Took a month and a half, but the last back-ordered part for my sissy setup arrived today. Before I start grinding, could I trouble you to take a look at my pics and assure me this will work. Obviously grinding away the metal on the plates won't be an issue, it's the locking mechanism (not locking, not clearing the signal mount) that worries me. Sorry to act like a little B, but I can't afford to wa$te any ca$h right now! Thanks to all!

Grind off with a dremel or air tool cover with black paint dont be skeered it works

This may help no relo kit. Mounted the blinkers to the hollow standoff and detachable side plate/sissy bar light stems eliminated. They are crappy pics but for now just to give an idea.

I have an '06 train, and the clearance is as tight as yours. that spacer between the strut and the post is the key. when everything is clipped on, the lock hits on the outer side of the post on my set up. works like a charm and looks a ton better, too.
