Default Softail Classic leather bags

Being the detail fanatic that I am I wanted to remind ya'll to take care of the leather saddle bags. I went crazy and got Hubberds Shoe grease (recommended by a leather tailor) and put it on the INSIDE and out side of the bags. The right bag, due to exhaust head needs extra care. I put allot of grease on the inside of the bag chancing a mess. However the leather absorbed it because it's unfinished hide. Not messy storing stuff in there. It took a few days and 70 degree temps, but it worked. For general care the H-D grease is fine. But get it on the inside as that's where it will be absorbed, not so much on the outside. Also, don't forget caring for your other leathers stuff. Don't put the grease on the outside of the bag and go riding right away or you will get road dust on them.
