Default Items for road trips

Going on short trip this weekend, 400 miles round trip. Being new to HD's are there any items you would recommend to take for the road trip. For instance, when I rode Moto Guzzi's it was a good idea to take some tools, kit for tire repair, spare throttle cables, clutch cables, speedometer cables, etc.

Cell phone and credit card.
Seriously, I've got over 23,000 on my deuce and have needed very little. In fact about all I ever really needed was something to clean my face shield and glasses with.

I live in South Florida so rain gear is always on board. Spare fuses and small light bulbs.

Cell phone and credit card. and call the card company to let them know because sometimes they stop your card when they see a lot of little out of town charges. sunscreen, chapstick, road side assistant card, money.
you dont need spare parts if you check them before leaving and keep your bike is good shape. i have over 50,000 and it still works and looks new.
