Default She's a picky ol' beeotch............

hey all,

I have a 90 fxstc. When she is running, she will not shift into neutral. Period. Shut her off and shifts into neutral 100% of the time, no problem. What the hell.......any ideas?

I did a search and heard of things like changing fluids, loose belts/chains, etc....but i dont know.

Thanks

When Harley came out with the twin cam in 99 they used the old evolution tranny and found out it was very difficult to shift. They realized that the vibrations from the EVO helped the tranny shift. Try revving the motor when you're shifting into neutral. On my 99 Heritage with the EVO it worked every time.

Spectro fluid helped on mine. It never got really good, though.
