Default Crash Bar Poll

Do crash bars really save your leg in a crash?
I am looking at putting them on my scoot and would like some real life experience?

Hmmm... as I see it, it totally depends on what kind of crash/accident you will (hopefully NEVER) have. I have a mustache bar on my Heritage and LOVE the way it looks, plus there IS some security to the bike's motor and perhaps the rider if you simply lay the bike over. Its a great place to install cruising pegs - But saving your leg in a crash? I hope to never find out.

I think most times you would be off the bike... What they do save is your bike from more significant damage should you crash.

Ok, personally have not had to find out the answer to this question yet, but my dad did, riding my bike, which had the engine guards and the saddle bag guards mounted, and without a doubt those saved my dad from a lot of pain as well as saved the bike from a lot of damage to the engine.

Well worth the investment!!! not always the greatest look, but definitely worth every penny when you actually need them.

Have Lindby in the front and HD in the back on my FLSTC
