Default Color Changing paint

(I posted this in general too) Has anyone had any experience with color changing paint? I am looking at getting my bike painted and would like at changing paint from dark blue to dark red. I found this site http://www.duplicolor.com/products/mirage.html as well as some other things. I am considering either base coat or flake. Any suggestions? Which do you guys like better?

Base coat

Flake

I am kinda leaning towards the flake. I kinda like the black in the background. Plus I think that would tie in my black frame a little better...

I used the duplicolor Green/Purple on the Shovel in my sig pic. I sprayed the base and mid-coats, and then had a friend at a body shop spray "real" clear on them. That was in 2003, paint still looks great. I had less than $100.00 in the paint job. That flake is bad a$$ though, be hard to pass up on some big ol glitters.

I am going to go with the flake and then use this chrome paint to make my spiderwebs over it all

I think it will look awesome!

Painted a few of my race bikes in Bass boat flake. The clearcoat on super heavy flake is a challenge. For the HD I love the fine flake.

If it doesn't look awesome, you wont break the bank re-doing it. I think I bought two kits for the tins on mine, and had plenty to work with and then some. Your results should be similar.

Good choice on the glitters BTW...

One of my dads buddies has that color on his ultra, I think his is an 07 or 08. Red with that as the secondary color. it is definately different.. everyone calls his bike the rainbow bike.
