I would just chck with other dealers in your area and see what thay will offer. It depends on what is the hot seller this month. It is strange as I was at 3 dealers in the last month and only one had a Cross Bones and they had 2 on the floor, no one else had one. Some dealers sell more curisers than Softails

Paid a bit under $16,500 the end of March for 2010 Softail Heritage, Black, California Emissions, Theft System, Wheel Option, Freight, and Dealer Prep. Also 20% discount on first parts order and 10% for year (but the 10% comes with the free HOG membership). Exactly the same offer from three dealers here in the Los Angeles area. Some dealers essentially told me to go and take flying **** but three were more than happy to take my money and make the sale.

Who says Iīm complaining just stating facts
$51,500 is alot for a standard bike, but then again I donīt know how much the average Joe makes a month. Average monthly pay for a "normal" working gov employee is about $3500-4000 here. Just for reference.

Average family income here is about $800 a month. But there are some very very wealthy individuals around too. (no I'm not one of them, I'm from EU and retired here in this wonderful - apart from bike prices - place)
Part of the high cost of the bike is the $5,000 for the license to import one, the 100% tax levied on anything to do with bikes, and on top of that you have the import duties. Same goes for parts, 3 times the cost from the US.
On the other hand, the hourly rate at the dealer for working on the bike is $15/hour.
