I purchased the new ME800 in the 200/55 17 today from Dennis Kirk. I liked the way the Metzlers ride, but could not deal with blowing through the tire every 5,000 miles or less on the 210/50. I was reading that the 200/55 is not a z rated tire, but a v rated and should get better life than the old 210/50s were giving me. All I can do is try one and see how it does, I hope to have it here by next Wednesday.
I tried the Metzeler 880 210/50/17, got about 5-6k out of it.
Indy had a Metzeler 880 200/55/17 in stock so i'm trying it out now.
Time will tell how long it lasts....................
let me know as i just bought a 200/55-17 cross bones tire. the last one has 9000 on it and seems another 2k was left but i am going to sturgis and wanted to check before i get there. the last metzler also cupped when almost done and the cross bones tire was even
