I just noticed the price difference for 2010! Is there any difference with the '10 model vs '09? The one thing I want is the Vance and Hines Big Shot exhaust, so if I find one w/out exhaust, that will cost me another 1k! Plus, I'm not sure if the new transmission is a big deal for myself, a 5 speed would be just fine also.

I bought my 2006 Hertiage Classic with 1800 miles in January for $13,600. It had extra chrome and was in perfect shape. That was off season and you are now in riding season, so ....

I bought my 2003 Heritage with under 15000 miles for a touch over $12K in '08. The seller also gave me every accessory he purchased including a chrome front end and Mustang wide touring seat that he did not install.

It is still a buyers market.

I was watching Fatboys, Heritages, and Roadkings since summer on ebay and Craiglist. In general, the only ones that "sold" were the ones that were priced at NADA average or high NADA book. There are a ton of bikes out there for 2 year old prices. I just got another bike last weekend. I got a 04 fuel injected Fatboy with 6K on it for $10K even with some extras.

I'm in L.A. and prices seem to range from about $9K for a beater to around $20k (and more) for someone who likes his bike more than he wants to sell it for . . . it seems like anything between $10K and $13K would be reasonable depending on the condition, mileage and condition . . .

Good God that sounds high!!!! Especially nowadays. $13,500 for a 2005? A brand new 2010 lists for $16,999. Lets say you actually pay that and don't get a deal (last year in Sanford Fl they were selling for almost $1500 BELOW MSRP....depends on the dealer of course)

But for a couple thousand more, you get a brand new bike, bigger engine, EFI and 6 speed transmission......I'm sure there are deals out there but lots of folks selling try to get some of the accessory $$$ back. I think if going used you can do much better than that. JMHO

Like Sporty says if your happy you got a good deal. Depends on the individual riders taste on what he wants. I like chrome and would not sale my 2005 Heritage that cheap. But if you just want stock bike you can find them for that price or lower.
