Default Nacelle Head light softail deluxe

Considering putting the nacelle on my 09 deluxe... was told it will not fit. Anybody have any info why it will not work, or any ideas on how to make it fit. thanks

PM aggro_jo. He's got the nacelle on his Deluxe, and it's one of the nicest around.

Question Lower rear

Hi Blacknchromedeluxe09 - great looking deluxe... would you mind telling me what you did to lower your rear? Air? Progressive? Bolts? how do you likeit? I lowered mine with the add on bolt pieces from J&P and although it looks great and slammed the ride is sloppy....

Thanks

It will fit the Deluxe, I just did mine a few weeks back. You will have to change out your risers for Heritage or FatBoy risers and grind off 1/4 of an inch on each side of the top mounting brackests for the passing lamps. Not a hard install at all if you just take your time and plan ahead. If you need more info send my a pm and I can send you some pics of where you need to grind. Besides the risers you wont have to buy any additional kit. Hope this helps..

I have the nacelle sitting here and a set of deluxe passing lamps I will be installing next week when I get back from Vegas. I'll take pics of the install and do a writeup thread on how to when it is done. I am curious about this myself.

Here are a few pictures of the areas that need grinding down on the inside of the passing lamp brackets where the mounting screws pass threw. I pointed to the (lets call them) round tabs with a red pencil hope it helps. On the top tab I took out 1/4" on both sides and on the bottom I took out 1/8'' or so on both sides. Dr.VTwin please post better pics when you do your install? I these pics my tabs have already been taken down so you cant see how much they were sticking out. The top ones now are flush with the side of the bracket.
