Here is my plan for making my rear happy on my bike

I have already purchased a Heritage seat, and it is far more comfortable than the seat that comes on the Deluxe, so I am currently using it.

So I am sacrificing the stock seat for the following reasons;

I need the seat pan because it has the mounts for the seat rail which I like, but plan on replacing with the larger version from the Heritage Springer.

The 2nd reason is that I like the look of the Thatched??? Leather on the Deluxe seat, so I removed the skirt part of the seat and will use that as a replacement on the Heritage seat.

I am having a upholsterer un-skin the Heritage seat, remove the foam, and install it on the stock Deluxe seat pan, and sew the original Deluxe skirt onto the Heritage seat skin. Then he is going to re-install the Hybred skin.

I am hoping it comes out good.

I will post pics once it is complete.

I have tons more Mods done since I got my bike...this forum is really expensive LOL

My Deluxe stock seat is the most comfortable seat I have ever had...I want a Lepera but I'm having a hard time giving up the wide comfortable stock seat.

 

Ok, got the job done.

I think it came out nice. It has a little push out on the side because of the Saddlebag guards, but nothing I cannot live with.



I plan on getting the bigger grab bar if I can win one off of ebay!! I figure right now I have about $280.00 into the seat.

 

That looks good and alot more comfortable.

 

Nice Mod. Seems most people complain about the Deluxe seat. Looks pretty much stock. Good job.

Great looking seat.... I couldn't help but notice that you have put true dual pipes on also. Which ones did you go with?

 

Could of saved yourself all that trouble and just put on a Seat from a Heritage Springer. Already has the basket weave skirt and mounts for the seat rail.
