Default Solo Seat for 2005 Softail Standard

Can someone recommend a good solo seat for my 2005 Softail Standard. I have a Mustang 2 up seat on my Standard, but I want something I can put on for when I ride alone. I want a sleek looking seat that doesn't require any type of tail section that would cover up my rear fender. Any recommendations? If anyone has any ideas, please post links to where I could buy such seats if possible. Thanks!!!!

rudedogky, does that seat require any type of tail section to mount? It looks like you have a black plastic piece that goes up onto your rear fender. I would prefer a seat that doesn't require any type of tail section that covers up the rear fender.

Barebones from Lepera on mine also no better looking seat out the IMO.
No rear mounting bolt on a 05 one bolt on each side at the bottom by your strut covers.

the bolt right in front the strut cover... all the way right in the picture...

Let me know when you decide. I can get what you need. The solo seat mounts on either side of the frame. the fender bib is put on by a lot of people who go solo. I have a similar setup on my ride.

On my '05 standard... I'm going with a solo from C&C. It's in route as we speak so I'll have more details by this weekend.

For what it's worth... My second choice was the Le Pera Bare Bones. I went with the C&C solo for just a bit more lower back support.

And if you're not naturally "extra padded" on your backside, forget about the Danny Gray Buttcrack. Didn't take more than 20 minutes to send that sat packing.

Having had the bare bones solo, you need to be aware that it will be much less comfortable on your butt than the mustang. I switched to a C&C seat for more comfort. I didn't want to ride more than 30 minutes with the bare bones solo. I started not wanting to ride as much. It does look cool though.

I have a bare bones and I think it is deffinetly the best looking seat out there and deffinetly the most uncomfortable seat out there. Good choice on the other seat if you plan on riding more than a few hours a day.
