Default Stranded: bike won't start, help.

Okay, I've got on '07 Heritage, pulled into work today and it backfired and died as I was parking. Didn't think too much about it at the time. Just tried to start it and the oil pressure light stays on. Oil level is fine. No oil leaks. I push start and nothing happens. It's as if I'm not pushing it at all. Checked battery and cables. Newer battery all acessories work. What now? Sorry, no service manual. Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Is there gas in the tank?
Is the starter turning the motor over?
Are you getting spark?

How many volts are you getting at the battery? You have to get at least, I think its 8 or 9 volts for the ECM to work. If you don't have enough volts, you could push it all the way to the ocean and it won't start. If you jump it, be sure the car or truck is NOT running or your bike won't like you much... Buy a manual real soon!

Code shows front cylinder not responding. Tech says this is probably due to electrical issue. Voltage is at 12.5. As I stated earlier- the starter doesn't respond. Green wire to starter is plugged in. Any other ideas?

Don't know man but it sounds like it may be a coil issue. Have you tried pulling the plugs out, grounding them out and turning the motor over looking for spark yet?

If I get this correctly when everything is on you hit the start button and you get nothing... while you hit the button are any of the lights flashing? Like maybe the fob battery is dead? If not listen when you hit the start button for a very faint ting coming from under the seat (the starter relay) thats where I would start. Good brah

If it was the Coil it would still crank but not start.
