My Lo's been having a bit of an issue lately. I go to start it and as soon as it starts to turn over it locks up, I release the start button and it starts normally like nothing is wrong. I'm thinking maybe a sticking ACR but I really don't know what's going on. The bike runs fine otherwise. Anybody have any ideas? The bike is a 2012 with 16000 miles, stock 103 with stage1

Do you have a way to test your battery? Volt meter of some kind?
Check battery with power off, then turn on key check battery , then hit start switch see what it drops down to. If drops real low on starting then battery is at fault . Which could cause a problem with the ecm . Just a guess
Maybe dead cell in battery.
My first thought reminded me of my old hot rods in the past . Bendix on the starter would act up and you would try to start it a couple of times until the Bendix grabbed and then she would start.

Thanks for the tip!

Once I nail polished mine, you really can't tell. Just take your time. I used a flat file at the end to smooth out the surface. The Grinder was $40 from Harbor Freight. ( I needed a grinder anyway for the mower blades)

The dealer called today to say my sissy bar came in. I took quite a while cutting (I don't have a grinder) a bit off each end with a hack saw. It didn't come out perfectly, but I was able to file the edges down enough to where it won't bother me. I still need to pick-up some touch-up paint; I was too excited to get home and get the bar on the bike. First mod done! Here's a pic:

By the way- I want to ditch the passenger seat but I need something to rest my bag on. I'm looking into fender bibs right now but can't settle on one. I might get the Mustang vinyl one even though there's mixed reviews on the quality.

looks good man. Are you always a solo rider? If so and you remove the seat you can remove the rear pegs too since no one would use them. Maybe this could help ya with the bibs.

So... Some Jackass (I slap the mirror every time I see him) backed my 2012 Lo into a fence pole and now I need to fix it. Looking for ideas for a new Fender. Stealership here in Hawaii wants $500 for a new one. Considering a chop, but...

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks,
Ben

Yeah, mostly solo. That's a good idea, maybe I'll pop those off, too.

Thanks for the link!
