RWD sent an imperfect measurement and got worse from there. The dealership body shop said not to worry and they will make it work....well once it was all said and done with fitting and welding the tailight support, it wasnt centred properly. And took months (during winter) to get it back from the painter before I could see the final product (another wtf story). Thing is I work 90% out of town and had to trust them. Big lesson learned....not to trust catalog specialists. When I asked the dealership why one side had a different measurement under the struts for fender showing...their answer was, noone will notice. So either it was off centered or slanted due to an imperfect weld from RWD. Ya no **** they said that to me at the end.

The bike is in a trusted indy shop now to get it fixed and maybe rewelded and painted. But first they want to see if the dealership messed with the struts and maybe can avoid it. Will see but probably will cost me another $500 due to the ordeal leading up.

Now that my final break in dyno tune is completed from the 103 big bore kit....I doubt they will ever see my bike again. I played 'nicey nicey and that everything was cool up to now.

You can sort of tell in this pic. Dealership also gave me the pipes off centred thinking I wouldn't notice...over an inch difference from pipes to side of tire. Indy may have to take the pipes off and maybe have to modify at intake point to assure a straight pipe...or else it bows trying to get equal distance to tire.

I see that.. what a PITA.. did you toss the mounting brackets that came with the bags? I saw you used another and modified it..

I saw these http://www.cavalryfiberglass.com/sto...ets-p-113.html

and then these but not sure what the difference is with the Touring bags vs the softail bags i take is these are not removable though

These look very similar to cycle vision's. Which I have and are great and tight to bike. Calavry old style brackets have a big gap to park a truck in...but I did notice a new style of theirs this winter that is an improvement. For a few bucks more, I would play it safe and go cycle visions.

Strat,

It's just my opinion, but if I was going to do hard bags on a Lo, I like the Bad Dad set up. Seen some of their stuff in person and the quality is top notch.

Has anyone relocated the front turn signals to the forks on a 2011? My mechanic says it can't be done, because Harley redid the complete ECM and made it a BCM so the turn signal wires get put into the switch housing wires. It's not a separate harness any more?
