Yeah, those bulbs get HOT being on all the time. I had the Harley unit, didn't get any melting but removed it after feeling how hot they got. It won't go back in until I convert to LEDs all around. In the meantime I got a BAL. That lights up the rear nicely.

You guys may want to consider using Led's as they won't produce the heat like the regular bulbs.

I never thought I'd see they day, but things came together. Getting ready for the Hell's Canyon rally in early June. This should make the ride quite nice.

OK.... I guess I don't get it. What is the point in the 1.5" tank lift???

I have no clue what the overflow tube on the tank is connected to underneath..i traced it all the way back and it seems like it goes under the seat pan then disappears.. The turn signal barely hits the tank on a full left turn of the handlebars, i guess my math was off by like a 1/16" or 1/32".. otherwise i'm pleased with the results..though i'm not sold on how hard it was to re-install the seat..

To show off that beautiful v-twin. Some people say improved cooling, but I'm doubtful. Most people do it for looks.

Hey Bill, when you get a chance, would you mind posting some more pics of your bike? I am really interested in the ape/windshield combo. After a pretty long ride on the highway the other day with the wind gusting, the "parachute effect" the wind has on your body with your fist in the wind kinda wore me down and got me thinking about getting a windshield. I also have someone who may be looking to trade a detachable one for some of the parts I have for sale (fingers crossed).
