The Ricors really seemed to help my ride. However, I didn't install them since I just rode down to Ricor and they installed them.

Hey Bill, how do you go about getting it up there like that? Just a floor jack or just pick it up and have someone slide them under? If you do the floor jack, where do you place it when lifting it? This is actually a serious question BTW, I picked mine up by the front forks when I first got it and put it on some stacked 4x4 blocks and my buddy grabbed the rear swingarm to lift up the back to position it right (they don't grow us small in Oklahoma) but the jack stands look to give you more room. Can you change the oil and all the other fluids like that? I was not sure if there were spots to put a floor jack (I don't have the bike lift) where it would not scratch up the frame and I am not back yet, so I can't look at the bike to see it. I am going to be doing my service as well since I am goint to be ripping the bike apart anyways so if I can get it up on some jack stands, I surely would be able to throw a catch tray underneath there.

EDIT: And where in the world did you get those axle caps!? I have been looking for some identical to those for over a year!!

Yeah, missed it. I couldn't find it in the HD P&A. I'll have a look on their site. Thanks!

The jack I use is one of these I take the extra lift blocks off (for obvious reasons). With my lowered bike I have to pull it up off the side stand so it sits level, slide the jack under (with it slightly forward of center for weight bias) and start jacking. I just crank it up until I can get the front stands under the crash bar. Then slide the small stands under the back. Due to the oil drain plug (in the frame) the stands have to be offset a bit, but are both at the same height anyway. Then SLOWLY lower it down and make sure it is coming down at the right points. Once it looks right, I grab the crash bars and shake it back and forth to make sure it's solid, then pull the jack out.

I've only used it to do the shock adjustment, but you could do the fluids up there. Just have to be sure and not cover the oil bag drain with a rear jack stand. You also don't want to accidentally put a stand under the swing arm, just the cross brace that goes between the frame rails (the piece the shocks bolt to).

There isn't anywhere for a standard floor jack to work, you'd need to use a 2x4 or something to bridge the frame rails. It's not a good way to do it, that's why I invested in the moto jack.

You can also do all the fluid changes with the bike on the side stand too. That's the way I do it. Also, HD now makes a low profile fluid catch container that supposed to get all 3 holes without moving it. 63795-10 $30

Nice! Ok, well I have spent too much this year already, so I will have to pass on getting the jack. Thanks for letting me know the floor jack won't work and that I can do the fluids with the bike still on the kickstand. That's nice to know. I will probably end up having to pick it up and do the 4x4 blocks again once I go to tear the forks off. It is suprisingly stable on those blocks. After I do the service and change out the parts, I shouldn't have to lift it again for the year except for a service later on in the year.

Yeah, the blocks will work for the fork work. Just have to get it up high enough that you can clear the lower triple tree when sliding the forks out. You can also turn the bars all the way left and right to get a bit more clearance when sliding them out.

*Edit - you could use the floor jack and a 2x4 to lift the front so you can slide 2x4s under it. I just wouldn't get the whole bike off the ground with a floor jack. You'll need a low profile jack though, like the aluminum racing kind since you'll be balancing a 2x4 on top of it. I'll take a pic of what I did a couple times before I got the moto jack.

Got those from PCKLST who got them from Deadwood Dick. You might PM Deadwood and see if he can remember where he got them. They seem to be hard to find for the rears.

These guys have the fronts.

Well, it looks like that worked so I'm gonna add a few more. I've been lurking around stealing ideas from y'all for a while now. I'm real proud of how my Lo has turned out. Since I installed the running lights I have to have a new windshield.... (for longer runs). Of course, it will be on backorder for a few weeks.

I bought it in August of 2009. In January of 2010 I beefed it up a little. New cams, TTS fuel system, heavy breather, V&H pipes, and went to 103". The main reason for the upgrade was to obtain a better sound. I just couldn't handle the stock pipes, etc. The added power was welcomed too!

Thanks to all of y'all for posting ideas and pics.

Looks great!! I just posted the other day that I was looking to see if someone had pics of the aux. light kit with chrome visor trim rings. I love that look! You have convinced me, without even knowing, to keep them chrome. I may also have to pick up the chrome signal trim rings as well.

Oh, and that is one hell of a garage!
