Default Installing Wild1Chubby 0501B Bars on my Lo

For those of you interested in putting on Wild1Chubby W0501B bars and were wondering if all the OEM cables and controls would fit - do not.

I purchased the bars put, held them up on the bike and it looked like they would fit (front brake cable looked a little tight). So... I decided to try and do this myself. I bought a service manual and began sliding the tank back (to access the wire connectors), removed my old bars and put the new ones on. I then realized there was no way the brake cable was going to fit. It was about two inches to short. I called all the HD dealers in my area and they all said they would have to order one. So I ordered the Diamond-Black cables designed to fit the Street Slammer bars (hopefully they fit). It's going to take a week for the cables to arrive. In the meantime, I fed the wires in the new handlebars (what a pain in the a@@ that was!!!) only to realize they were about three inches short as well. Again no dealer had the HF Switch Control Kit 70239-07 in stock so I had to order them as well.

It appears the clutch cable will work and I'm not exactly sure about the throttle cables. I got so frustrated that I just quit until the other parts come in. I live in Virginia and this is the best riding weather we've had since spring and the bike is just sitting in the garage in pieces.

When it's all said and done, I'll post pics and tell exactly what you need for these bars. I DO know now why it costs so much to have a dealer install them. It's not as easy to do as it would appear.

Kojax I put a mustang vintage wide touring seat and love it. The original seat was very uncomfortable.

2011 'Super' Reach seat (moves you forward 2.5 inches. Then pull back riser (if needed) - 4 inch won't require any new cables/wires. Might be be the solution for you and affordable?
