I don't recall off hand, it's somewhere near where that particular post was (so click on the blue arrow inside the quote and it'll take you to where it was posted) but i think he just had them painted, and that's a thick pinstripe

They all have a way of squeezing dollars out of you that's for sure. If it's not women it's a bike.

I thought that he had powder coated the wheels and the red pin stripe was pc as well. I know he had a separate thread on it back around last April or may. Your best be would be to just PM Jim. He's pretty good guy and I am sure he would be happy to answer back. He hangs in the touring section these days.

HEy t2k5 does your front pipe rub on your running board. I put the same pipes on the other day and mine rubs the running board. If not what did you do to keep it from rubbing

On my bike there is space about 3/8" from the rear mount of the floor board, and the front pipe. The front mount is not close to the pipe at all. Nowhere does the pipe touch. I just followed the directions, and everything fit perfect. Only thing I can think of is just make sure the heat shield is not rolled to much to the bottom.

I think you will be ok with the 6" risers and stock bars but the upper brake line may be the only issue. I know I have read where some have used the risers on a non ABS bike and got away with it.
6" risers will fit with all stock cables/lines.
